Electro - Mechanical Standard (EMS)

The range of Actionpac Electro-Mechanical Standard (EMS) control panels are designed for the control and monitoring of either Mode 5 (24V) or Mode 6 (230V) PTC damper actuators in groups of 12, 24 or 36.

Damper control modes to be connected to the site wiring, which when installed by the contractors, shall provide the relevant standard functions.

Specification for Actionpac EMS

The Actionair Actionpac EMS panels are of standard construction for the control and monitoring of Mode 5 or Mode 6 PTC damper actuators in groups of 12, 24 or 36 on printed circuit boards. Each group of 12 dampers are controlled and monitored via separated PCB’s, these will be numbered PCB 1 for dampers 1 to 12 and where fitted, PCB 2 for dampers 13 to 24 and PCB 3 for dampers 25 to 36.

The damper control PCB’s provide for screwless terminal blocks for all external connections to the dampers, Fire Alarms and BMS Contacts. Dampers are controlled in zones and monitored individually. Terminals provide for wiring all dampers individually. The damper status LED indication is provided by indicators PCB’s fitted in the door of the panel enclosure. Each indicator PCB provides for 12 PTC Actuators.

Damper locations can be recorded on a printed label fitted inside the enclosure door. Each Control PCB provides input terminals to accept 1 or 2 Volt free contact interfaces with the Fire Alarm System per group of 12 dampers (maximum of 6 dampers per zone). These connections should be Normally Closed (NC) going open circuit to indicate an alarm. In addition each control panel provides a single output terminal to provide a Volt free contact interface with a BMS. This is a changeover contact, which goes closed circuit to indicate either a non- normal or fault condition.
